For our client, we are seeking a Chief Accounting Officer to lead both client-facing and internal accounting teams. This role involves close collaboration with company leadership to enhance internal processes, drive revenue growth, and improve profitability. We are looking for an independent and motivated leader with strong business acumen, analytical skills, and experience managing a large accounting team. Given the international nature of the team and clients, proficiency in Czech and English is required, while Russian is an advantage.
Required Skills:
University degree in economics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in accounting, with tax adviser or accountant certification being a significant advantage.
3+ years of experience leading a large team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to synthesize complex financial and business data to make strategic decisions.
Czech language at least B2, preferably C+ level.
English at least B2 level.
Russian language is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Financial Management:
Collaborate closely with senior management on short-term and mid-term strategic planning.
Ensure the timely provision of key financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
Maximize department profitability based on key performance indicators.
Contribute to pricing policy development and regular review.
Participate in product management, evaluating performance, and proposing changes in the product portfolio.
Team Leadership:
Develop individual annual plans for team members.
Provide mentorship, training, and professional development for employees.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and performance updates.
Evaluate employee performance and provide structured feedback.
Distribute responsibilities and client accounts effectively within the team.
Operations & Process Optimization:
Oversee internal payroll accounting.
Plan, monitor, and reduce outstanding receivables.
Ensure high-quality service delivery and minimize client churn.
Collaborate on process improvement, automation, and digitization.
Work closely with accounting teams, sales teams, and clients.
